We Are Brutal

Brute, comes from Bruta, meaning ugly. 

So we made this equation a long time ago.

When I was young I liked Ellen degeneris program , “Buy the Book. 

I thought she was funny, witty and highly intellectual and I really liked her and I used to look forward to the times when her program was on air.

My mother rebuked me for liking this program by saying that Ellen was a lesbian 

And I was saying I don’t care what she is, she's funny, she's smart, she is witty, that’s all I care about is not my business if she’s lesbian or not I don’t give a shit she’s funny and I like her and I respect her.

It struck me as brutal how we are willing to disregard the person's cultural qualities and talents just because they have certain choices regarding what they do in their private lives.

That’s brutal
