The Hair You see, The Ones You Don't

You notice a hair in your food, on your plate. you freak out, you either take it out, throw it and continue eating, which is the mature thing to do.

OR, you make a scene and you dramatize and you call the manager and start telling stories of this near death experience that you just encountered.

Either way it doesn't matter.

That reaction, or the lack of, was against what you SAW.

The hair that you saw!

What about hair that you haven't seen or could not see but you swallowed anyway?

How many are those in your estimate?

There is a number.

That's for sure.

But what is it.

I am sure there is a statistical method to determine that number.

An algorithm or something.

Then what?

What do we do with this knowledge?
